- Data Processing : Any operation performed on personal data, such as collection, recording, organization, structuring, storage, adaptation, alteration, retrieval, consultation, use, disclosure by transmission, dissemination, alignment or combination, restriction, erasure, or destruction.
- Personal Data : Any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person.
- Data Controller : Entity or natural person who determines the purposes and means of the processing of personal data.
- Data Processor : Entity or natural person who processes personal data on behalf of the data controller.
- Consent : Freely given, specific, informed, and unambiguous indication of the data subject’s wishes by which they, by a statement or by a clear affirmative action, signify agreement to the processing of personal data relating to them.
- Right to Erasure : Right for an individual to request the deletion or removal of personal data.
- Data Portability : Right for an individual to obtain and reuse their personal data for their own purposes across different services.
- Data Breach : A breach of security leading to the accidental or unlawful destruction, loss, alteration, unauthorized disclosure of, or access to, personal data.
- Supervisory Authority : Independent public authority tasked with monitoring compliance with the GDPR within its jurisdiction.
